A Pirate's Fate

I had a few goals when starting this project. The first was to tell a story. The second was to document the iterations of the project and show how the original idea would change over time. The story is about a pirate hunting for treasure and ultimately meets his doom when he finds the booty he is looking for.

This is my first close-up shot. I wanted a few different angles to give the viewers and sense of what is happening.

This is the coin I sculpted in Zbrush. I took it into Substance Painter to texture. I piled the coins in 3DS Max using the MassFX modifier. I chose this coin because it would help the audience determine when this happened and where it happened.

A few iterations of the change of the scene. The concept blocking had a total of twenty one different iterations. The idea quickly morph after talking with a mentor of mine. He helped me to really push the story to be more organic and free.
